Why participate in the event: Push For Entrepreneurship?

It is Nathalie Stonier's belief that entrepreneurship and creativity are key attributes that move our society forward. She likes to think that everyone can better themselves and make a difference if given the opportunity. Nathalie Stonier supports various non-profit organizations that share this very vision. She adds that it is essential to help the next generation to reach their best potential as it will benefit all.

Nathalie Stonier utilizes her entrepreneurship skills in the frame of her career as director of global sourcing and marketing for International Marketing Systems, Ltd., headquartered in Shelton, CT. In her role, she has developed a variety of supply chains that generate revenues of between $1.5 and $9 million per project. Nathalie Stonier is also a member of the leadership team whose role is to plan the long-term strategic future of the company.

All Push For Entrepreneurship’s proceeds are donated to the Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC), a 501c3 nonprofit organization, whose mission is to teach students creative problem-solving techniques through inventing, innovating, and entrepreneurship, by teachers trained in CIC’s programs. One key fact about CIC is that inventors are composed of 50% girls and 26% minority students, with program growth focused in under-served school districts. Saint Catherine Center Uses Creative Arts for Those with Disabilities

As the director of global sourcing and marketing at International Marketing Systems, Ltd., in Shelton, Connecticut, Nathalie Stonier continues nearly two decades of leadership in areas ranging from business development to international supply chain management. Personally committed to philanthropic efforts, Nathalie Stonier supports groups such as the Saint Catherine Center for Special Needs.

Founded to serve those with disabilities, the Saint Catherine Center addresses the educational, social, and spiritual needs of its clients through its Adult Day Program, Saint Catherine Academy, and programs in Catholic schools and parishes. Through all of its programs, the center places great importance on the role of the creative arts.

For example, the Saint Catherine Center offers young adults with disabilities the opportunity to participate in weekly sessions of art, music, and movement through yoga. Participants have the opportunity to express themselves in each of these modes, discovering ways to communicate their emotions and personal experiences that transcend the use of words, which is especially important for non-verbal clients.
